This is not what I intended I always swore to you I'd never fall a p a r t You always thought that I was stronger I may have failed but I . h a v e loved you from the start
Oh, But hold your breath Because tonight will be the night That I will fall for you Molly looked around the room once more. Yes, nobody was there. Why didn't she believe herself? She was too paranoid. Making her way across the music room, she let out the air she'd been holding in. Settling herself at the piano, light fingers tried a few chords. Yeah, the music teacher kept it in great tune. She hit the first progression of her song and played through the chorus before getting up the nerves to open her mouth. Her voice made up for the simple chords in the room. It rang soft and careful, dancing with the notes from the other instrument. When she closed her mouth and let the notes play, they seemed lonely without her voice. They came in again harder, her voice getting louder. She let it twist and turn around lines, imagining the ocean in her mind. Yes, it was very much like the ebb and pull of the tide. When she got into the bridge, she really belted it, thanking god for the soundproof walls. She was too into her song to notice the door open and close. By the time it's noise was done, so was the bridge. The room was completely silent, until she took a breath to go into the chorus softly again. The chords went back to their simplicity, and Molly was reminded of the sunrise at La Push. Her voice came in weak at first, but strenghened to repeat the chorus, the piano notes following. At last, the song ended, the last notes hanging in the air. She felt as if she could reach out and touch them.

Sk8er BoiHe was a boy, she was a girl Can I make it any more obvious? He was a punk, she did ballet What more can I say?He wanted her, she'd never tell secretly she wanted him as well But all of her friends stuck up their nose They had a problem with his baggy clothes Reed was walking through the school. Most people were in their classes. He had a study hall now, so he was heading to the library when he heard piano music and someone singing coming from the music room. He decided to go and investigate. There was a girl sitting at the piano. He didn't want to scare her.
"You're really good. My Uncle Edward plays piano, too," Reed said, putting his sunglasses on his head. He stood in the doorway in case he startled her when he spoke. "I'm Reed Cullen," he introduced himself to her. "And you are?" He waited a few moments for her to say something before speaking again. "I'm not going to bite, if that's what you're thinking," he said.
Reed went to stand over by the window. he put his sunglasses back on. His eyes were really sensitive to light unlike the rest of his family. He wondered if she was scared or just shy. He'd feel bad if he did scare her.

This is not what I intended I always swore to you I'd never fall a p a r tYou always thought that I was strongerI may have failed but I . h a v e loved you from the start Molly almost screamed when he spoke. There was a person in here! He looked about her age, maybe older. He was the kind of guy that she would glance twice at. She wasn't really interested in dating, but he was attractve. Then he spoke. "You're really good. My Uncle Edward plays piano, too. I'm Reed Cullen" His voice was sweet like the chocolate. Not the chocolate that they used in recipies at her mom's shop, but her secret recipie.
Then something clicked in her head. "One of the quads! You're Alice's son! Hey, my name's Molly. I'm part of the pack in La Push?" She told him, standing up and reaching out a hand. Molly immediately regretted how she put that. "Well, not part of the pack. Not at all, but you get the point." She hoped he didn't catch her distress. God, she'd never join those freaks! She would not wipe her mind out to be like the next wolf. That wasn't who she was.
"I've hung out with your parents alot! Great friends with your mom. Why have I never met you?" She rambled in a puzzled way. Gosh, she really was rambling. Molly was nervous about her little slip.

Sk8er BoiHe was a skater boy, she said see ya later boy He wasn't good enough for her She had a pretty face but her head was up in space She needed to come back down to earthFive years from now, she sits at home Feeding the baby she's all alone She turns on TV, guess who she sees? Skater boy rockin up MTV "One of the quads! You're Alice's son! Hey, my name's Molly. I'm part of the pack in La Push? Well, not part of the pack. Not at all, but you get the point. I've hung out with your parents alot! Great friends with your mom. Why have I never met you?" she rambled in a puzzled way. "Actually, I'm one of the octuplets, the second youngest. I think I might have heard my mom mention you before. A werewolf, huh? Sort of strange you go to school here. I thought you all went to La Push High, " he replied, giving her a weak smile. Reed turned to look at her. " Yeah, I know what you're thinking. Why the heck is this kid wearing sunglasses inside? My eyes are really sensitive to light unlike the rest of my family. Not much a vampire, am I now?" he said, sitting down in a chair. She was just staring at him then. He glanced at her and took off his sunglasses to reveal to most expressive blue eyes she has ever seen in her life. " So you like it here? What grade are you in?" he asked her nonchalantly. He was trying to be nice to the girl for now anyways.[/blockquote]

This is not what I intended I always swore to you I'd never fall a p a r tYou always thought that I was strongerI may have failed but I . h a v e loved you from the start Molly frowned at her mistake. One of the Octs, oh all those kids were so confusing! She smirked when he mentioned her going to La Push. Staring him down, she judged how much she should tell him about herself. She didn't exactly trust him, what with the whole sunglasses thing going on. Her father had a funny saying for his job. 'Shades for shady people'. It made her laugh, but the saying rung in her head now. "No, my father went here when he was my age. Always thought it was a great school. The council didn't like that. Almost passed a law against it when they found out I was a wolf, too." Now that was a dark time for the Jayla house, not to mention the family buisness.
"Not much of a vampire, am I now?" She giggled before she could stop herself. Gosh, why did she feel like she could trust him so much? It was stupid, she always felt like she trusted everyone. And what a world to trust others in! She was sinking in her Angst until a brilliant blue caught her eye. It was his eyes! She stared at them more than a moment. How could they possibly be on a human being? Oh yeah, he was a vampire. Did the saying still apply? It took her a minute to realise he asked a question. "Oh, umm, yeah. It's nice here. I'm in, uhh, tenth grade?" She finished in a question, embarassed at her staring. his eyes were just so pretty.

Sk8er BoiShe calls up her friends, they already know And they've all got tickets to see his show She tags along stands in the crowd Looks up at the man that she turned downHe was a skater boy, she said see ya later boy He wasn't good enough for her Now he's a super star slamming on his guitar Does your pretty face see what he's worth? It took her a minute to realize he asked a question. "Oh, umm, yeah. It's nice here. I'm in, uhh, tenth grade?" She finished in a question, embarrassed at her staring. his eyes were just so pretty. "Well, I'm in eleventh. Don't be embarrassed, I'm used to people staring at me because of my eyes. I'm used to it by now," Reed replied, shrugging. "So, little werewolf, you're not scared about being in a school full of vampires then, are you? Then again, the humans might if they knew about us...and that would be very bad indeed," he teased her. Reed didn't know why he felt so at home with this girl, she was a werewolf after all. She sort of reminded him of his younger sisters for some reason. It was odd, but he would just have to deal with it right.
He stretched and put his arms behind his head. Reed put his sunglasses on and looked over the top of them at her. He gave her a small smile. She didn't seemed scared of him at all, that was new. Usually people tried to get as far away as possible from. They thought he was strange and his eyes were creepy. But she... he didn't even know how to describe this girl at all!

But hold your breath because tonight will be the n i g h tThat I will fall for youover again don't make me change my mind and I won't l i v eto see another dayI swear it's true because a girl like you'si m p o s s i b l eto findyou're impossible to find "Well, I'm in eleventh. Don't be embarrassed, I'm used to people staring at me because of my eyes. I'm used to it by now," Reed replied, shrugging. Molly blushed a little. Of course she was embarassed! The Cullens always moved so beautifully and gracefully. She was told by human friends that they kind of moved the same, but Molly laughed at that. She was at the opposite end of the spectrum, not to mention clumbsy as hell! She was told about Bella's old clumbsiness as a human, but seeing her now one could never guess.
"So, little werewolf, you're not scared about being in a school full of vampires then, are you? Then again, the humans might if they knew about us...and that would be very bad indeed," he teased her. She smiled as he called her little werewolf. How close it was to the name Sam called her! "No, before I changed, I just thought you guys smelled really bad and had some skin disease." She tried to hold back laughter. She could more than stand the vampire smell now. It was actually kind of nice. Something un-clicked in her head, though. Why didn't Reed smell sickly sweet like the others? He had this alluring scent that was amaising, but only half as attractive as his eyes. Nonono. She scolded herself, A pretty face doesn't mean you should trust the man behind it. But why did she feel like she could trust him with her life?
Reed put his sunglasses back on, and Molly found that she could breathe regularly again. She didn't even realise the uneven breaths she had been taking until she could breathe again. Jesus, who is this guy? He storms in at the last time I want anybody here, he goes ahead and makes me know he's the first guy I've ever noticed as attractive, and he wipes out another one of my theories about Vampires. What the hell? Oh, no. Do I smell bad to him? Wait... What did she care? He was just a guy, who went to her school, who was really attractive, who was... Part vampire? "How does that work?" She asked out loud. "Having vamps for parents. What does that make you?"

Sk8er BoiSorry girl but you missed out Well tough luck that boy's mine now We are more than just good friends This is how this story endsToo bad that you couldn't see See the man that boy could be There is more than meets the eye I see the soul that is inside He was just a guy, who went to her school, who was really attractive, who was...part-vampire? "How does that work?" She asked out loud. "Having vamps for parents. What does that make you?" "Yes, technically I'm a half-vampire. Ever since the Toxin hit about 20 years ago, they have a new classification for our kind now. If you're half-human, half-vampire now, you're called a Strigoi. If you're 75% human and 25% vampire, you're a Moroi. If you're a full vampire, you still are one. Sorta of confusing, huh?"" Reed explained to her. He glanced over at the clock.
"I'd love to stay and chat some more, but the bell is about to ring and the quads are driving home. Don't want to get in trouble. See you around I guess," he said, standing up and walking to the door. The bell rang and he turned to face her once more. "See you later, Molly!" Reed said, giving her a dazzling smile before dashing out of the room, leaving her alone once more.

This is not what I intended I always swore to you I'd never fall a p a r tYou always thought that I was strongerI may have failed but I . h a v e loved you from the start Molly frowned. He was right. It was really confusing! She'd have to ask Alice to explain it to her again. Though it did remind her of a book she read half of once. What was it called again? She was pretty sure it was " Vampire University" or something. She'd have to pick it up again and finish the whole thing. "I'd love to stay and chat some more, but the bell is about to ring and the quads are driving home. Don't want to get in trouble. See you around I guess," Reed said, standing up and walking to the door. The bell rang and he turned to face her once more. "See you later, Molly!" he said, giving her a dazzling smile before dashing out of the room, leaving her alone once more.Wow, did he have a good memory, or did he have some power like his parents? Curiosity burned on the tip of her tounge, but his smile was still etched into her eyes. How beautiful it was! She could sit there all day admiring the few mental pictures she had of him, but she couldn't. The bus was waiting. She stood up and almost fell over. Jesus, why did she suddenly feel giddy? It was kind of creepy. Molly made her way out the door with an out-of-it smile on her face. She hoped she'd see him at the Cullen house for a change. Would he be going to the game? She kind of wanted to be on his team if he was, then again, she wanted to play against him to see how good he was. He better not be faster than me, she thought, getting in her normal seat on the bus. Molly spotted Reed with his siblings getting into an expensive car. Yep, They were deffinately Cullens. She watched him pull out of the parking lot, looking away before she could classify what she was doing as staring.

Sk8er BoiHe's just a boy and I'm just a girl Can I make it anymore obvious? We are in love, haven't you heard How we rock each others world?I'm with the skater boy, I said see ya later boy I'll be backstage after the show I'll be at the studio singing the song we wrote About a girl you used to know
Reed decided to hang outside when they got home. He climbed a tree in the front yard and sat in one of the topmost branches, leaning his back against the tree trunk. He closed his eyes for a bit, but opened them hurriedly when he heard movement down below. Reed was surprised when he saw Molly coming out of the wood. He stood up and jumped, landing in front of her. "Well, well, Molly. Fancy seeing you here," he said, leaning against the tree. "Reed!" his little sister Claire ran out of the house and jumped on his back. "Hey, Claire-Bear!" he replied, adjusting his sunglasses. "This is my little sister Claire, I don't know if you've ever met her," he said to Molly. Claire slid off his back and onto the ground just as their younger brother Rosslyn came running out of the house. Reed scooped him up and draped him over his shoulder. Rosslyn started squirming and kicking. Suddenly he accidentally off Reed's face.
Reed dropped Rosslyn unceremoniously to the ground, dropped to his knees, and covered his eyes with his arms. "Claire, go get Mom now!" Reed groaned. Claire ran into the house and came back with Alice a minute later. "Come on, baby, let's get you into the house. Hi, Molly! Come on in," Alice said, helping him to his feet and helping him into the house. She helped him lay on the couch then hurried into the kitchen. Alice came back with a special compress and she laid it on Reed's face. Alice put a breathing mask on his face and turned on the machine. "Keep the mask on until you feel better, honey, just take it easy," she told him kissing his forehead. "Claire, Ross, go and play in the back. I'll send Natalie to watch you in a minute." Alice headed upstairs then. "Sorry, Molly. bet you think I'm a weakling now," Reed apologized to her, his voice muffled because of the breathing mask.
Then the youngest of the octs Natalie came in the room. "Hey, Reedy Beedy, feeling any better?" she asked him. "As good as it gets, Nats," he replied. "Mom said you can come out with the kids and me if you want," Natalie replied. "Okay, can you get me the really dark sunglasses?" he asked her. She nodded and ran upstairs to get them. Natalie came back and handed them to him. Reed took them from her and put them on without opening his eyes. "Molly, can you help him out back? Those glasses are almost opaque, so he can only pretty much see outlines of stuff," she asked her as Reed turned off the breathing machine and took off the mask. Molly nodded and took Reed's hand cautiously. They walked together to the backyard slowly. Molly helped Reed sit down into a lounge chair in the shade. Alice called to Natalie from the kitchen. Natalie ran inside and came out with a container of eyedrops.
"You have to put them in, Reed. Mom says so" she said walking over to him. "Can you do them? It's sort of hard to put them in when you can't see," he replied, taking his sunglasses off. His blue eyes looking like they were covered over with a foggy film. Reed leaned his head back and Natalie put the drops in his eyes. After she was done, he put his sunglasses back on. "Sorry you had to see that. It's a real pain in the a*s. I bet you think I'm even more of a freak now," Reed said quietly, looking down at his feet.

So breathe in so deep Breathe me in I'm y o u r sTo keepBut hold onto your w o r d s'Cause talk is cheap And remember me tonight When you're asleep Molly didn't know why, but she ran a different way to the Cullen's house that day. The woods were more dense there, but she didn't mind. She was small for a werewolf anyways. On she ran, the wind blowing through her fur, muting the sounds of other animals. It was quiet and serene that afternoon. She hated it.
She turned to her hind leg to check if her light clothes were still tied to her leg and smiled. Molly could smell vampire nearby, but it seemed closer than she expected. Taking the bundle off, she changed back into her human form. How easy it was! Natural, like breathing. Molly threw on her clothes quickly, the humid air lashing at her bare skin.
She got to the house, but it wasn't the one she had been expecting. It was just as large, but a different style. It reminded her of Alice. How right she was. Something fell down in front of her. If she had walked a little faster it would have killed her! She couldn't stop the screach that came out of her mouth, but held her hand over it in time to see it was just Reed. "Jesus, you scared me!" As she said that, Reed's little sister ran out of the house. Molly recognised her from the pictures Alice had shown her. She looked even more sweet in real life! Her voice was sweet as honey, just like her mother described it.
Before she could say a word, things went terribly wrong. There were only bits and pieces she picked up. Little things like Claire running inside. The pained look on his face when his mom got him. How menacing the machine seemed. Alice's lips on her son's forehead. The defeated tone of his voice as he admitted his pain. His hand in hers. The film over his beautiful eyes.
"No," she said, the first word sense she'd arrived at Alice's house. "No I think you're strong and wonderful to deal with this... Whatever it is." She finished with humor touching her voice. Molly didn't understand. He'd seemed so strong at school and when he jumped down from the tree, what happened when they were rough housing before?

ComplicatedChill out whatcha yelling' for? Lay back it's all been done before And if you could only let it be you will see I like you the way you are When we're drivin' in your car and you're talking to me one on one but you've become Somebody else round everyone else You're watching your back like you can't relax You're tryin' to be cool you look like a fool to me "No," she said, the first word sense she'd arrived at Alice's house. "No, I think you're strong and wonderful to deal with this... whatever it is." She finished with humor touching her voice. "It's called Xeroderma pigmentosa, or XP. It's an autosomal recessive genetic disorder of DNA repair in which the ability to repair damage caused by ultraviolet (UV) light is deficient. My eyes are painfully sensitive to the sun and may easily become irritated, bloodshot, and clouded. So that's why I have to wear sunglasses pretty much all the time," Reed explained to her. He didn't want to scare her. He didn't want her to think he was some mutated freak. He didn't want to lose her. She was so nice and sweet. He didn't know what he would do if she would never talk to him again. She was one amazing person, that Molly.

She laughed. Molly had felt so in the dark before, though she didn't think an eye disease could be so inconvenient. He obviously thought it was much more than an inconvenience by the way he acted. She took a deep breath and picked up his hand, letting the air out slowly as she collected her thoughts. She just had to make him feel better, but she was having trouble desciding how. "I..." She hesitated. Her mom would think this was offencive, but she thought everything was. "I might not have a disease or anything, but... I understand the weak feeling." I cannot believe I'm telling him this she thought reproachfully. "You know the real reason I won't run with the pack? Why I don't go to their high school?"Molly felt so naked revealing this to him, but she closed her eyes and continued, each word forced out. "Because I like to think for myself." She opened her eyes, new strength filling them easily, "Those guys follow Sam mindlessly, never disobaying orders and I... I don't think I could do that. One person can't descide right and wrong, right? Everyone makes mistakes, but the guys won't see that day any different from the rest. And it might mean the death of someone, someday."She swallowed the lump in her throat, but it wouldn't go away. To hide her feelings, she pulled his palm to her, tracing mindless patterns in it. He wouldn't think she was weak for it, would he?
