Sugar Were Going Down Swinging Is this more than you bargained for yet Oh don't mind me I'm watching you two from the closet Wishing to be the friction in your jeans Isn't it messed up how I'm just dying to be him I'm just a notch in your bedpost But you're just a line in a song (Notch in your bedpost, but you're just a line in a song) Sugar Were Going Down Swinging
Josh was walking down the hall to his locker at school. He was new and alot of girls had given him their numbers, but he wasn't interested in girls who were going to stay with him for a week and dump him. He wanted a relationship with someone he knew and cared about, but he didn't know if he was even ready to start flirting with girls again. Last semester at his old school he had been going out with this really hot girl and he liked her alot. They had been going out for two years and one day he was in gym practicing his soccer, and the bell had rang to go home but he offered to help clean up so the coach left. Josh went to open the storage closet to put soccer balls away and when he opened the door he saw his girlfriend and his best friend in the closet getting it on. He didn't know what to do he had trusted both of them he had feelings for his girlfriend and his best friend was like a brother to him. So he ran straight to his car and drove home and when he got home the news was great. He was moving to a different state. When Josh got to his locker he heard a girl laughing with some guy. He looked closer the guy seemed familiar and then he got it, it was a kid named Conner from his new soccer team. The girl was beautiful and he suddenly felt weird he was starting to like this girl. No he couldn't do it, he couldn't risk having that happen to him again, not this time. Finally he went to class feeling miserable but he was about to feel even more miserable when he noticed that she was in his class and she sat in front of him. What a great year this would be. He rolled his eyes and waited anxiously for the bell to ring so his torture could be over.

CryI'll always remember it was late afternoon It lasted forever and ended to soon You were all by yourself Staring up at a dark gray sky And I was changed In places no one would find All your feelings so deep inside It was then that I realized That forever was in your eyes The moment I saw you cryCry Connor walked to Jessa to her locker. She was happy to have a boyfriend, it made school worth while. With being sick all the time, it was hard to make friends, so she was glad to have someone who really cared for her no matter what. Connor pushed her against her locker and kissed her. She giggled and wrapped her arms around his neck. "We're going to be late for class," she murmured against his lips. "Does it look like I care?" Connor said, reluctantly pulling away and opening her locker for her. She grabbed her things for class and stuffed them in her locker. She slipped her hand into his and they walked to class hand-in-hand. Jessa noticed a new face in class, he looked sorta familiar but she decided to ask Connor later. "Hey, Connor, who is that kid over there? He looks familiar but I can't place him, [/b]" she said as she met him outside the cafeteria. " His name is Josh, he's on my soccer team, remember. Yeah, he just moved here like a week ago. Come on, let's go get lunch," he replied, wrapping an arm around her waist. Jessa glanced over to see Josh watching her. She gave his a quick, friendly smiled before walking off with Connor to get in the lunch line then.[/blockquote]

Josh saw the girl that had been in his class and when the teacher took attendance he said that her name was Jessica but everyone calls her Jessa. When she came into class she was looking at him like she knew him. Later, at lunch he saw Jessa come in with Conner and he was filled with anger and jealousy. He liked Conner he was really nice and would be a good friend but he didn't want to be involved with someone who had a person he liked. He was looking at Jessa and then when she looked at him he noticed that she was noticing him. He felt so stupid how could he do that to himself again. I am so stupid! What do I do she is smiling at me?!?! He was so nervous so he hurled himself out of his seat and ran to the nurses office. He thought he heard someone running after him but he didn't stop to look because he felt like he was about to get sick.

CryIt was late in September And I've seen you before and you were You were always the cold one but I was never that sure... You were all by yourself staring up at a dark gray sky, I was changed In places no one would find All your feelings so deep inside It was then that I realized That forever was in your eyes The moment I saw you cryCry Jessa watched Josh run out of the cafeteria. She turned to Connor who was now sitting beside her at the lunch table. "Do you mind if I go see if he's okay? I'm sorta worried," she asked him. "No, go ahead. I trust you," Connor said, kissing her gently. She stood up and walked out of the cafeteria. She started running after Josh. "Hey, Josh! Wait, please!" she called after him. He slowed down his pace but he didn't stop walking. She eventually caught up with him.
"Um, hi, I'm Jessa. I saw you looking at me earlier, so I thought i should come over and talk to you...I'm sorry if it's awkward..." Jessa said to him as she looked down at her feet. She knew this was awkward for the both of them now ."So if you want to talk, feel free to come and talk to me."

While Josh was running he heard Jessa say Hey, Josh! Wait, please! she had called after him. He slowed down his pace but he didn't stop walking he did not want to talk to her he would be so nervous and he wouldn't know what to say. She eventually caught up with him and he took consideration in taking off running again but that wouldn't solve anything.
Um, hi, I'm Jessa. I saw you looking at me earlier, so I thought i should come over and talk to you...I'm sorry if it's awkward... Jessa said to him as she looked down at her feet. He was nervous and needed to say something to her. He was such a chicken.Say something she is going to think you're retarded. He thought to himself. So if you want to talk, feel free to come and talk to me. She turned to walk away but he said quickly, I'm Josh West and I was wondering if maybe...you would want to be friends, only because I'm new here and I know your boyfriend Conner. He is on my soccer team. She smiled sweetly at him and he smiled back. A girl who had asked him out was walking down the hall and she saw him. As soon as she saw him talking to Jessa she quickly said, Hey Josh don't forget to call me. Josh chuckled and shook his head but when he turned back Jessa was glaring at the girl. It looked like she was almost jealous, but he shook it off she couldn't be. Could she? Then she noticed that Josh had saw her and she blushed. Yeah, we can be friends. Why don't you come sit with Conner and I at lunch? She asked. Josh agreed and walked back to the cafeteria with her.

CryII wanted to hold you I wanted to make it go away I wanted to know you I wanted to make your everything, all right I'll always remember it was late afternoon In places no one will find, in places no one will find All your feelings so deep inside (Forever was in your eyes) It was now that I realized that forever was in your eyes The moment I saw you cry, the moment that I saw you cry I think I saw you cry, the moment I saw you cry Cry Josh agreed and walked back to the cafeteria with her. She walked over to the table she had been sitting at with Connor. She took her seat next to him. Josh sat on the other side of her. "Connor, you remember Josh, right?" she asked him. He nodded in recognition. The three of them ate lunch and talked as they did. Finally, the bell rang, signaling the end of lunch. "See you at practice," Jessa said cheerily as Connor took her hand and they left. Today was especially hot for spring at ninety-three degrees. She and Connor walked down to the field after getting stuff from their lockers. As soon as all of the team arrived, the coach said, "Okay, guys, go get dressed." "Come on, coach, it's freaking roasting!" the team complained. "I know it's hotter than we're used to. Go get changed and we'll see from there," the coach replied.
Connor gave Jessa a quick kiss and went to get changed. After the team was dressed and back out on the field, the coach told them, "Okay, it's hot out so we'll do a scrimmage, shirts vs. skins." Then the coach split the team into two separate teams. Of course Connor and Josh were on the skin team. Jessa stood by the goal talking to Josh. She thought it was hilarious that the guys were calling each other fat. Finally practice was over at 5PM. Connor came over to talk to Jessa. He was all sticky and sweaty, so she shied away. "Don't you dare touch me, Connor! You're all sweaty and gross!" she complained. He chuckled and gave her a quick kiss on the cheek before going to get washed.
"Showering doesn't take that long," Josh said, pulling his shirt over his head, "Well, it matters how many showers there are," Jessa replied. "Team shower," Josh answered, chuckling, "don't you girls have them?" "Yeah, but we prefer separate showers. Group showers are awkward for girls," she stated. "Not for guys, we're used to it. Except the guys are always comparing stuff," he said. Jessa rolled her eyes and gave him a weak smile.
"What? You girls don't compare stuff? Guys compare dicks...I don't know what girls could compare, breasts?" Josh joked, smiling at her. "Josh!" she squealed, smacking him in the arm, "Hey, I'm curious. Who's bigger, you or Connor?" "Me, I'm all man," Josh grinned, making a muscle. "Josh, can you go collect the balls?" the coach yelled him. Josh and Jessa went to get the balls. She threw the balls to Josh instead of kicking them to him. "Why don't you kick them to me?" he asked her. "I broke my ankle at the beginning of the year and I'm still in physical therapy. I'm not supposed to do any sports until next year," she told him. A soccer ball came flying out of nowhere and hit her in the forehead. Josh looked around and there was no one around.
Jessa put a hand to her forehead, tears pouring down her face. Josh ran over to her, making sure she was okay. "Am I bleeding or is anything broken?" she whimpered. "You look okay except you might get a bruise," Josh said, kissing her on the forehead gently. She gave him a weak smile. Connor came out and walked over to them. "Ready to go? he asked Jessa. "Yeah, let's go. See you tomorrow, Josh!" she said. Jessa and Connor walked off to his car.

She gave him a weak smile. Connor came out and walked over to them. Ready to go? he asked Jessa. Yeah, let's go. See you tomorrow, Josh! she said. Jessa and Connor walked off to Connor's car. Josh kicked a soccer ball around and saw someone running and getting into a car. They had a red car corvette which was a nice car, until Josh realized that, that was the person who kicked the soccer ball into her head. He started shouting at them but then realized that it was his history teacher. Crap He was going to be in some trouble tomorrow.
The next morning was a great morning he woke up showered ate breakfast and jogged to school. Maybe I should try out for track later this year, I can run fast I don't get that tired and I like running. He thought to himself. When he got into the parking lot of the school he saw Jessa and Connor getting out of Connor's car. Jessa saw him and yelled over to him. Hurry up so we can walk together! He saw her head was bruised and he frowned but then ran over to them. Hey, I see your head bruised from that. Are you ok? She nodded yes and they walked to their first class. Josh was in some of Jessa's classes but not all. I can't wait until this day is over, I am so tired I just need two more hours of sleep. Jessa whined at lunch. Josh went up to the snack bar and bought a pop. He set it in front of her. You have two choices. A: you can go home. Or B:you can drink this pop. He opened the pop and put it in front of her, Connor chuckled and she laughed too. Jessa picked up the pop and drank it. When lunch was over she seemed better and happier. At the end of the day she was so hyper she ran all the way to the car and bounced in the car all the way to Josh's house. Josh got out of the car and he said bye but when he looked back Jessa was sleeping in the front seat. He chuckled and walked in his house. What a good day!

Only HopeThere's a song that's inside of my soul It's the one that I've tried to write over and over again I'm awake in the infinite cold But You sing to me over and over and over againSo I lay my head back down And I lift my hands and pray to be only Yours I pray to be only Yours I know now you're my only hopeOnly Hope Connor drove to her house and dropped her off. She was still sleeping when they pulled into her driveway. He woke her up with a gentle kiss on the lips. She blinked and looked up at him. “Did you drop off Josh yet?” she asked groggily. “Yeah, you were asleep,” he replied. “Okay, see you tomorrow. I love you!” she answered, giving him a kiss before grabbing her bag and getting out of the car. She was sorta sad today was over. Jessa smiled as she walked into her house and headed up to her room. She threw her bag on the floor inside her room then she went over to her bed. She didn’t even realize she had fallen asleep until she woke up to the sound of her cell phone ringing. She reached over and grabbed it off her nightstand. “Hello?” she answered. “Hi, Jessa. This is Mrs. Evans, Connor’s mom. Has anyone called you about Connor recently?” Mrs. Evans said. “Um, no. I haven’t talked to him since he dropped me off after school,” Jessa replied. "He was in a car accident tonight, honey. He's at the hospital now," Mrs. Evans answered.
"Oh, my God! Is he okay?!" Jessa exclaimed. "They said he was pretty beaten up when they brought him in. We're heading up to the hospital now, do you want to come with us?" Mrs. Evans questioned. "Um, no, thank you. I have to go change and do a few things. I'll be up soon. Send Connor my love," Jessa said. "Okay, hon, i will. We'll see you up there soon. Bye," Mrs. Evans stated. "Thanks for calling and letting me know about Connor, Mrs. Evans. See you later," Jessa hung up. She got up and went to grab a change of clothes out of her dresser. She changed out of her skirt and shirt into shorts and a tank top. She grabbed her cell phone and called Josh. "Um, Hi, Josh. It's Jessa. I was wondering if you could do me a favor? Connor was in a car accident, and I'm not allowed to drive. Could you possible give me a ride up to the hospital?" Jessa asked him. "Sure, I'll be right over," he replied. "Okay, thanks so much! Bye," she hung up.

Josh was laying on his bed when his phone rang. Hello? Um, Hi, Josh. It's Jessa. I was wondering if you could do me a favor? Connor was in a car accident, and I'm not allowed to drive. Could you possible give me a ride up to the hospital? Jessa asked him. Josh grabbed his shoes and keys and ran down the steps. Sure, I'll be right over. He put his keys into the car and drove to her house. Okay, thanks so much! Bye. She hung up and he pulled down her street and into her driveway. Jessa ran out of the house and into his car. Hey, sorry about Connor. She held his hand and she was shaking. It's ok. Her voice was strained and tears were streaming down her face. As they pulled into the hospital parking lot her tears were pouring down her face and she had her head in her hands. She got out of the car and started walking until Josh stopped her and pulled her into his arms hugging her gently. He will be ok. Don't worry he is going to be ok. She stopped crying and hugged him back. Thanks, your a good friend. Then they walked up to Connor's room and Jessa held his hand while Josh sat in a chair talking to him about soccer and h changed the channel for him every-so often. When he finally fell asleep Josh got off the phone with his parents and stated that he had to go. I can pick you up later when your ready, just call my cell and I'll be on my way. Ok? She nodded yes and hugged him tightly before he left. When he got home he went to bed right away just in case. At about two o clock in the morning Jessa called her voice was sleepy. Hey, Josh, sorry for calling so late... I was wondering if you could pick me up I'm outside of the hospital. Yeah sure I don't mind I'll be over in a sec. He hung up and drove to the hospital with his pajamas on. He saw her outside and he stopped. Come on before you freeze. She hopped in his car and thanked him. When he got to her house she was asleep he knew what he had to do. He picked her up and knocked on her front door. Her mom answered it and laughed. Oh, hello Josh. Can you take her up to her room please? Josh chuckled and nodded yes. He put her in her bed under her covers. She was so beautiful when she was sleeping and she looked peaceful. He kissed her forehead and walked down the stairs said goodnight to her parents and drove home, he was exhausted. Today was a long day and he needed rest he got that the very next day he got enough sleep because his mom let him stay home from school and he knew Jessa was probably freaking out.
