Concrete AngelThrough the wind and the rain She stands hard as a stone In a world that she can't rise above But her dreams give her wings And she flies to a place where she's loved Concrete angel Somebody cries in the middle of the night The neighbors hear, but they turn out the lights A fragile soul caught in the hands of fate When morning comes it'll be too late Through the wind and the rain She stands hard as a stone In a world that she can't rise above But her dreams give her wings And she flies to a place where she's loved Concrete angel Concrete Angel
Jazz lay on the bed, waiting. His mind was racing and he just needed her… it was way to long. He groaned and rolled over onto his stomach. His head laid on her side of the bed and he took in a deep breath, all he could smell was her. He missed her so much it was killing him now. His arms ached for her to fill them, his heart felt empty without her there. Jazz pushed himself off the bed and walked around the room. He looked at all the pictures, one of their wedding day. She looked so amazing standing there with him. He remembered it perfectly as if it was yesterday. She had danced down the aisle to him, a smile on her face the whole time. Her hand as she slipped it into his as they got ready to say their vows. The smile as he slid the ring onto her finger and their first kiss as husband and wife. He moved to the next picture, a day out in the meadow. They were lying down and she was kissing his cheek. Their fingers intertwined lying on his stomach. He could almost feel her hand in his as he looked at this picture. Jazz sighed and walked into the closet. All her clothes were there neatly hanging up, her scent radiating from all around him. His head was spinning and he didn’t know why he was in there. He went back in the room and sat by the window watching the rain fall. It had been 2 weeks since he’d seen her; she was on a shopping trip with the girls across the world. He laid face down on the bed again waiting… she was supposed to be home in a few days. He was missing her so much he was considering flying out to meet her… he would endure shopping if he could just hold her again, kiss her one more time, just be with her. Jazz shut his eyes and tried to block out the memories so it was easier… but he couldn’t, she was his life, his everything.
Jazz rolled over and pulled out his phone and hit speed dial 1, Jazz? Hey baby. How’s everything going? Good I guess… but I miss you. I miss you too. I hope you have a good time though, if you want I could fly out there. I would in an instant. Don’t do that! Why not? Because… you’d miss where I am… He sounded confused until he heard the door open. She came flying in and all he had time to do was drop the phone and catch her as she launched herself into his arms. He buried his head in her hair and held her as close to him as he could, I missed you so much. I missed you too. He lifted her right off the ground and pressed his lips to hers. Her arms wrapped around his neck and he wrapped his arms around her and held her tight against him. Her legs wrapped around his waist and her fingers twisted in his hair, he put a hand behind her neck and pulled her lips to his. His heart was about to burst, he had never been so happy to see her.
