All American GirlBut now he's wrapped around her finger, She's the center of his whole world. And his heart belongs to that sweet little beautiful, wonderful, perfect All-American... And when they got married and decided to have one of their own, She said "Be honest, tell me what do you wanted?" And he said "Honey, you oughta know... Sweet, little, beautiful... one just like you. Oh a beautiful, wonderful, perfect All-American...” Now he's wrapped around her finger, She's the center of his whole world. And his heart belongs to that sweet little beautiful, wonderful, perfect All-American Girl. All American Girl. All American Girl
Jazz had just put the 5yr olds down for a nap when he heard a scream coming from the bedroom. He ran to the door, What’s wrong Angel? His twelve year old daughter had a serious problem with the way she asked for attention. I need mom...NOW! Can’t you just tell me what you need honey? Lately Angel had been flipping out a lot and wanting Alice more often.NO I NEED MOM! Please daddy. The door was still shut so he walked off to find his wife.
He walked downstairs and found Alice on the couch brushing Lizzie’s hair. Angel is screaming for you. She refuses to tell me what’s wrong. Alice sighed and got up and kissed him as she headed up the stairs. He took her spot brushing hair. A few minutes later she came back down. What was wrong? She led him into the kitchen so the quads couldn’t hear.
As Alice told him what was wrong he only registered one word, period. He needed air and he needed it now. Without thinking he walked out the back door leaving Alice with the kids. He ran as fast as he could through the forest. After a few minutes he hunted and then just sat down on the ground. He didn’t notice the approaching newborn vampires until it was too late. They were closing in fast and he knew he couldn’t go back home and endanger his family so he ran. He got into his car that was parked on the street and sped away seeing Alice staring at him through the window. As he hit the accelerator and got onto the ramp for the freeway he saw the newborns in his mirror coming at him still. He didn’t see the patch of ice in the road and the next thing he knew he was spinning in circles on the freeway. He blacked out and faintly heard sirens. The car was upside down and he couldn’t move at all.
He woke up in a hospital to find doctors and nurses frantically working over him, he was in the ER. Oh god, I’m gonna die. Alice will be crying her eyes out. I can't die...I just can't. He thought just as he recognized Carlisle above him. He might be ok if Carlisle was there. Jazz we’re putting you to sleep now. Just relax son. Jazz fell asleep seconds after Carlisle said this.
He woke up to see Alice’s tear streaked face staring out the window. It hurt to move and breathe so he didn’t say anything, just waited for her to notice he was awake. She must have had a lot on her mind because it took her twenty long minutes to notice he was awake.

My Last BreathHold on to me, love, you know I can't stay long All I wanted to say was I love you and I'm not afraid Can you hear me? Can you feel me in your arms?Holding my last breath Safe inside myself are all my thoughts of you Sweet raptured light it ends here tonightMy Last Breath Alice was shaking, she couldn't help it. A vision coming true right after she saw it. That rarely happened...ever. She saw Jasper being chased by the group of newborns and he drove away in his car. Alice had calmed Angel down and had her go lay down in the bedroom she shared with her twin brother. It was one agonizing hour before she got the phone call from Carlisle, saying Jasper was brought into the hospital. Alice had called Esme after she got off the phone with her father. After her mother arrived, she sped off to the hospital fast.
Jasper was still asleep when she got there. Carlisle was in the room. "How is he, Carlisle? He looks horrible!" Alice asked quietly. "Pretty bad. The nerves in his legs were pretty severed. If we don't do surgery soon, he could lose use of his lower extremities and be paralyzed in his legs," Carlisle replied. "You have to do something, Carlisle! He can't be paralyzed, he can't be. I can't take of all the kids by myself! I need him. Please, do something!" she shrieked in despair. Jasper, oh, God... "I will do everything I can to help him, Alice. but I want him to wake up so you two can discuss options first," he answered. "There aren't any options, he can't be paralyzed!" she stated. "He should wake up soon. I'll leave you two alone," he spoke. Carlisle turned on his heel and left the room. She turned back to Jaz.
His eyes were open and he was staring at her. Alice gasped softly. "Oh, my God! Jazz, you should have said something. i didn't know you were awake. Are you okay?" Alice asked him softly. She knew he was hurt, but she crawled into bed with him anyways. She was so worried about him. She didn't what she would she would do if he couldn't walk. It wouldn't be the Jasper she knew if that happened.

Alice crawled in bed next to him and he let her lay on his arm. He had so much pain meds that she could have kicked him and he wouldn’t have felt a thing. He fought with sleep and won. Jazz would not be paralyzed if he had anything to say about it. No way would he leave Alice to take care of all the kids, not on his best day. He stroked her cheek and kissed her gently. I would have said something but it hurts to talk. Sorry, theres only one thing I need to say to you… He paused as she looked up into his eyes. I love you…forever. Tears started to fall down her cheeks again and she whispered back, I love you too.
Carlisle came back in after he was prepped for surgery; there was no way he would be paralyzed. He held Alice’s hand tight as they walked down the hall to the operating room. Now he knew what Alice felt when she had went through these doors for the c-sections. He was a little bit scared he had to admit but not about the surgery; about if he would come back to her and be able to walk. He thought of all the things he would be giving up if he couldn’t walk.
Never picking up Alice again, never dancing with Angel again, never carrying sleeping kids up the stairs to bed, never being able to bend down to hugs the little ones, never getting to dance with Alice again, never getting to run with the boys, never teaching the kids how to play baseball, never teaching them how to ride a bike, never showing the little ones how to swim, never getting to carry Alice over the threshold again, never getting to walk down the aisle again, never driving again, never getting to whisk Alice in his arms and hold her close. The list went on and on but he had to stop himself as Alice leaned down and kissed him one last time.
As they rolled him into the operating room Carlisle handed him a picture to hold onto; it was all of his kids and Alice. A single tear rolled down his cheek as they put him to sleep. He hoped to god that this surgery worked, it had to or else he didn’t know what he would do.

Leave Out All The RestI dreamed I was missing, you were so scared But no one would listen cause no one else cared After my dreaming, I woke with this fear: What am I leaving when I'm done here ? So if you're asking me I want you to know When my time comes, forget the wrong that I've done Help me leave behind some reasons to be missed Don't resent me and when you're feeling empty Keep me in your memory and leave out all the rest Leave out all the rest Leave Out All The Rest Alice couldn't help gasping as they brought Jasper back into his room. He had pins in his legs and braces over that. She prayed that the surgery had worked. She didn't know what she would do if he wasn't okay. She looked up as Carlisle walked into Jasper's room then. "Did it work, Carlisle?" she asked her father softly, worried. "It was successful, yes, but he's going to have to keep his legs immobile for at least a week before starting intense physical therapy," Carlisle said. He pulled a chair next to hers. Alice was sitting next to Jasper's bed, just watching him sleeping.
Alice brushed a few stray hairs off Jasper's face. She was worried. "I'm going to stay up here with home, at least for tonight. I'll ask Mom to stay with the kids at our house," she replied to him. "I'm sure your brother and sisters who can help," Carlisle said, wrapping an arm around her shoulders. Alice smiled at him weakly. "I don't want to rip apart their families for me and Jazz's sakes now," Alice stated, shaking her head 'no' in reply then. "I have some other patients to check out. I'll be back in an hour or two to check on him," he replied. Carlisle stood up and kissed the top of her head before walking out of the room then.
Alice turned back to watch Jasper sleeping. About an hour later, he slowly opened his eyes. She gave him a weak smiled as she looked into his dark amber eyes. She was so worried about him walking. "Hey, baby, how are you feeling?" she asked him quietly. "Sore as hell," Jasper muttered, his voice gruff with pain. "I'll go find Carlisle so he can give you some more pain meds, okay?" Alice replied, getting ready to stand up then. "No, don't leave. I'm fine, really," Jasper answered, grabbing her arm in a vice-like grip. Alice frowned over at him, worried about him. "I need to call Esme to see if she can watch the kids overnight so I can stay with you," Alice told him seriously. "You can call her later. Just come and sit with me for now," Jasper said, giving her hand a gentle squeeze. Alice sighed and crawled into the bed next to him. Jasper wrapped his arms around her and held her close. Alice pulled her legs up, almost to her chest, so she didn't bump his legs. She rested her head on his chest gently.
He kissed the top of her head. Alice looked up at Jasper, anxious. "Are you sure you don't want any medicine?" Alice asked him. "Just having you in my arms is enough," he replied, shaking his head. Alice guessed he was still drowsy from the anesthesia now. "I really should call Esme now," Alice whispered. "Carlisle can call for you," Jasper answered softly. "I guess so," she replied, closing her eyes. "Just relax, Ali. I'm not going anywhere," he soothed her. Alice nodded and was soon asleep. Jasper watched her for a few minutes and was soon asleep. They were comfortable in each other's arms.

Jazz heard talking but didn’t open his eyes; not yet. His legs were really sore and everything hurt still. He tried to hide the pain in his voice but some of it leaked though. He held her in his arms and it helped keep his mind off the pain. Jazz watched her fall asleep in his arms and followed her soon after.
He woke up to find Alice curled up in his arms. His legs were throbbing so after a few minutes of pain he sighed and pushed the button for more morphine. Alice woke up next to him, Hi Ali. What’s wrong? My legs are hurting is all. Don’t worry about me. He rubbed her back to try and make her fall asleep. She would have to leave tonight to go back to the kids; they needed their mom more than he needed her. The nurse came in and gave him more meds and soon he was sleeping again.
It was dark in his room when he woke up. It was completely dark outside; how long had he been asleep? He felt something warm in his hand. Gently he felt the fingers; it was too small to be Alice’s. Jazz flipped the bed lamp on next to him to see his visitor. He saw Alice sitting in the corner asleep with Jacks in her lap. When he looked down and saw a little head of blonde curls on the bed. Angel’s little hand was in his huge one. He rubbed her hand and her head slowly turned to face him. He used his finger to stroke her cheek, Hi sweetie, come here. She looked at him cautiously as he patted the bed next to him. She carefully climbed up and he pulled her close to him. Angel instantly relaxed when she was up against him. He reached up and shut off the light and pulled the blankets around them. In a matter of minutes he heard Angel’s breathing slow and she had fallen asleep. He followed in suit a minute later.
