“My beginning was something else entirely.” Jasper watched his kids from his spot and almost chuckled in amusement. Almost. Of course Brad was trying to ease the tension and Brittany played along with him. He enjoyed watching little moments like this, small loving little exchanges between the members of this huge family. He returned Brittany’s apologetic smile with one that suggested there was nothing to apologize for. He turned his gaze away and stared at a wall after a moment, lost in his own thoughts. The whole toxin problem was still confusing to him, it made him want to bite something. That and he could feel the worry that the others were feeling. The impatientness and fear. He was used to the emotional climaxes though, so he tried to focus on not feeling those feelings himself. He let out a relaxation ‘wave’, trying to calm the nerves of the rest in the room.
He zoned back in as Alice started to explain. He’d heard it all already but listened. He zoned out after a few minutes though, at the part about phoning others. He could hear Alice’s voice but didn’t pay the words attention. He knew what she was saying of course but was thinking about the toxin himself. He hadn’t a clue what they were going to do about it or what it would do. When she finished he cleared his throat lightly to clarify a few questions.
“So this toxin won’t kill us? Or will it? Or does it depend on the individual?” He asked, his low voice soft but neutral.

Now. that is really bad. That isnt funny. He said as Alice said it was worse than him and Rose ever breaking up. That wasnt even funny to him. Not at all. He grumbled slightly and crossed his arms as he watched Mitchell come into the room and talk and stuff. Slowly, one by one, others came along with the same questions. Kacie even came in and was in a good mood today. Something Em was actually glad about. Oddly enough. He shrugged silently and listened away.
Hey Brad! Emmett said seeing Brad walking into the room. He was possibly his favorite Nephew... Well, it had too. Calvin always seemed to himself and quiet alot. So obviously, that left Brad. Looking away, then back to the reality, Brittney was even in the room. He rolled his eyes as he saw her with a paper and pen. Em sighed a little and looked over at Alice and Jazz. So.. Whats going on? Em said. His hands were crossed and set upon his chest as he waited patiently.
He listened to all the little chit chat from the others and waited for Alice to begin. He looked over at her and she started talking. All the words out of her mouth came to a shock. Killed? Humans? What the hell?! Emmett grumbled softly. Toxins too? Geez, they hate us that much? Emmett sighed softly and kept on listening. Partially human? As in Drinking water? Kids by Blood? Emmett was a little surprised at what the toxins would do. Then what Alice said about Rose shocked him more.
It would be Rose's dream to be Human again. She would love it. Though, partially human at the most.. Em said in Rose's state. We would be glad too. Partical Humans. Wow, he got a look on his face as he looked back at Jazz, then Alice. Bella. im not sure for. Im sorry Bellz. Em said silently. It hit him again, there was another thought. He pondered if he should say it infront of them being so stupid. But, it was for sure to everyone know. Just like Jazz said. And What about us food? If it happened, would we still be able to hunt? Wow.. Thats a stupid question. But i have to know that. Sorry it sounds stupid. Em said silently. Partically to himself, partically out to the others.

I was thinkin' 'bout it yesterday I was thinkin' 'bout tomorrow In a dizzy kinda sorta way, like vertigo I've been tryin' hard to figure out But it's drivin' me crazy - Jump5 ~ Spinnin' Around Mitch's heart went on a roller coaster ride through what his aunt said. He went from worried when she started to panicked when she mentioned the tonic. Next he was confused. He still was when she finished, but it began to sink in and his heart and mind did a double take and a leap of joy at the same time. Partly human. If I were more human then mom couldn't stop me from being with Alison, could she? Technically her word was law in some ways, being his mother, but if she were more human again would she still deny him the person he loved? Then he heard his dad's question and he stopped. He hadn't thought about that. What would they do for food? What did the toxin changing them mean for this? "It's not stupid dad, it's... unanswered from what Aunt Alice said. She said we wouldn't be able to eat normal food. I would assume we'd need to still hunt or we'd starve." Or was that it? Was there no hope? His heart did a sudden stop now from how it had been. Was that the end? Death?

~Now I'm here to say I'm sorry And ask for a second chance Cause when it all comes down to the end I could sure use a friend Now I'm here to say I'm sorry And ask for a second chance All I want to do is make it up to you Cause when it all comes down to the end You were the best I ever had. Brad’s eyes widened as his mother revealed her cause for distress. He was going to be human again? Did that mean that he’d crave the taste of human blood less? He allowed a goofy grin to cross his face, leaning back into the couch and turning his gaze to his sister meaningfully for a second, before facing his family again. “Hey, that sounds so cool! Does that mean that the cravings will…” his voice trailed off as he found himself embarrassed for asking, “… Lessen?”
A grin crossed his face as he heard his uncle talk about his aunt. He had heard of her dreams to become human, and he knew that she wanted a child of her own. Brad had heard her story enough times to know that she had been jealous that Bella had been able to have a child, and Rose wasn’t. He never really judged, since it wasn’t his personality, and because he wasn’t really one to think, for he was a not a woman and couldn’t… You know.
Have kids.
So, he never really listened to that anymore. He agreed with Mitchell – it was a really good question. Brad wondered if anything would happen. A panicked glance was given to his sister. He wasn’t sure what he’d do if anything happened to any of his family members, but most of his worry was for his sister and mother. He sent a look at his father, wondering if he could feel his son’s worry. Seeing as it was all but written on his forehead, he assumed that Jasper could sense it. He looked around, his eyes never stopping to rest on one spot.

"Okay, one question at a time. One, no, we are not going to die necessarily. Two, we still need to hunt. One of the ingredients used in the toxin is used in hospitals on humans to make organs to start working that have stopped working. We won't be able to eat human food after hundreds of years without it. Our bodies won't be able to adjust to that quickly," Alice started to answer the series of questions being thrown at her.
"Three, we still need to hunt, yes. But we might be able to adjust to some human liquids like water, tea, juice, and soda. But I recommend not overing doing it on soda or anything really acidic like orange juice or grapefruit juice. It will act with the blood in our system weird," Alice explained.
"It might lessen a little bit, Brad. We'll still be the same people, though our hair and nails may start growing again. We may be able have some human foods, but we still need to hunt and drink blood. We probably will still have our talents, though I'm not sure about our sped and enhanced senses. I'm not sure about a lot of things still. We'll just have to wait and see. We need to stay home the week they set off the toxin. We'll be really sick," Alice came to the end of the questions finally. Alice knew more questions were to come now.
"Any other questions? I need to go hunt myself after all of these visions and recounting them to you now," Alice finished, really exhausted. She was hungry and tired at the same time now.

THE DREAMER
Brittany's hand skimmed over the paper as she took down notes. She appreciated her mother pausing every once in a while to let her write everything down. Brittzy's hand was shaking a little bit, altering a little her handwriting. Questions and Answers were fired back and forth, all sensible questions, and it was good that Alice knew some answers to them. The more information they had, the better, even though there was some element of the unknown still. Brittany wondered what it would be like if the toxin affected them. They would be living like humans in some way, but as vampires too. And then they didn't know exactly how much of their lives would be affected. She guessed it would be a different adjustment for everyone, and it would be mostly a trial and error thing with regards to diet and all that. Her hands gripped her pen tightly, and with some surprise she realized that there were some indentations on the pen from her squeezing it too hard. Sighing, Brittany loosened her grip. Humanity. It was such a touchy subject to those who wanted it back. Brittany had not really fully adjusted to her vampire life yet, so she still had some faint pinprick of remembrance for her human life. Hopefully things would turn out okay, considering all the problems.
She felt tired, maybe it was an emotional exhaustion. Her nerves were frayed, she was fraught with worry for the future. She would need to get some stock of blood for the family to store in the residence while they were hiding out from the toxin's release. The glass wall of the residence would be closed, and their would have to be some other stuff that would be put up to watch out for the humans' approach. Maybe some small cameras, tripwires, laser beams? They needed to protect the family, and some of these modern technology they could afford, so why not buy and use them to their advantage?
Brittany could just picture the males in the family watching tv screenshots of the whole backyard and front porch, as well as in some locations in the forest as they looked at the humans who threatened to end the vampire existence. Maybe this was a blessing in disguise? Humanity given back to those who were once humans? Brittany could feel a headache coming on and her body was limp. She stopped writing as Alice declared her need to hunt.

News. The good. The Bad. Humans. Hunting and killing. Vampires ... Hunting problems... Were the few things Calvin managed to pick up in his musing state of mind. He only saw the ceiling which he stared up while laying back on his...well he thought of it as a bed, but it was more of a futon.
Wait a minute.
Humans - Hunting - Hunting problems?! Those words as a vampire just did not run well together. It was even worse to hear them in a sentence. Calvin was both relieve and resentful that he hadn't been paying more attention to the many low voices downstairs. What where they discussing?
Calvin pushed himself off the futon and darted out his room, a swift breezing pulling after him and swaying the door half closed on his way out. The wind escaped into the larger room now that he was downstairs. His darkened topaz eyes examining each and every vampire present; there were more than he thought he'd heard. His eyes stopped on his mother. He half-smiled for half of a second and took a seat by her legs, making himself comfortable.
His brows slanted upward. "What's going on?" He asked as if he needed to be reminded of something, looking from one pair of eyes to the next.

I am an old woman Named after my mother My old man is another Child that's grown old Bells watched quietly as Alice and the others spoke. as well as listening to the questions and answers that followed. She heard about the 'vampires being able to have children bit very loud and clearly. d**n Edward isn't going to do anything any more, no more fun! Bells thought. Once Ed did hear of this, he was never going to 'sleep' with her again. Being pregnant wasn't very pleasent for him in the beginning. But as it did near the end, the thoughts of the baby began to show. Nessie, who was a gift, yet very unexpected and hard to care for as a zigote, than to the fetus. This is one of those things that Bella would've been happy for if this hadn't happened to her before. SHe already had that experince of pregnentcy.
She ran her hand through her hair and kept quiet. She didn't know what to say. And was going to think of what she was saying before it was said. "So. Lets see here, something i still don't understand. Bella paused "I thought that, once vampire the reason of our kind not being pregnant was because our bodies don't change" she took another breath and thought of the next thing she was going to say. " And also you said that we weren't going to age or anything, Alice, you know what I'm saying here? it was curious. She didn't need to answer now. She rembered what Rose has said to her about why vampires couldn't have babies.

Yesterday I thought I'd seen it all I thought I'd climbed the highest wall Now I see the learning never ends - Amy Grant ~ Somewhere Down The Road Mitch listened to the answers, but his feelings of happiness didn't come back. No. He was just confused. He'd been a vampire for seven years now. Being a human was still fairly fresh in his mind. But he couldn't be fully human. He was still something else. Besides that, he had never wanted to be human again. He couldn't have that life back. He just nodded and resigned himself to his own thoughts as everyone around him seemed to do. Calvin came down and Aunt Bella started asking more questions. Mitch heard someone start recounting things, and it took him a moment to realize it was him. "Someone told, Calvin. Someone gave away that vampires exist, with very convincing evidence. They're going to the president with it. They're going to create a toxin to kill vampires. Apparently we'll get lucky and survive, but there will be interesting side effects. We'll.... we'll become somewhat human again. Aunt Alice doesn't know everything that will happen, just certain things. We'll still need to drink blood, we might be able to eat human food and drink liquids aside from blood, we'll be able to reproduce.... things like that."His voice sounded distant, emotionless. He bit his lip. It was hard to know how to feel anymore. It was hard to know what to think. He just wanted this all out of his head. Without another word he stood up and started toward his room to write his thoughts down. It might not help much, but he didn't know what else to do.

“My beginning was something else entirely.” Jasper sat silent. The others were speaking around him but he didn’t talk. He was still confused but the emotions around him were getting just a little irritating. The mix of different ones was almost giving him a head ache, almost. He remained sitting there, his arms protectively around Alice’s small figure. He gently rested his chin on the top of her head. She had said she wanted to go hunt, and he was eager to get her out of the house then. If she wanted to get outside and hunt then he would take her to hunt. But of course more questions followed. He waited patiently for Alice to answer them but once she was finished he was going to take her hunting.
“I believe Bella what Alice is meaning is that our bodies will change. Just not in the way of aging, but in other ways. Alice has mentioned that some of our organs that stopped will work… “He told Bella, his voice soft and low. “Is that correct Alice?” He asked his wife quietly.

"Yes, that's right. We won't change externally much except for our hair and nails a bit. Most changes will be internally. Sleeping will probably be the hardest on us older vampires. The kids, Nessie, and Bella should be all fine with it, though. And, Bella, don't worry about Edward. He will be fine with the change like all of us will be eventually," Alice answered, hoping the questions would be done soon. She needed to get out of the house soon.
She needed to go hunt before she ripped someone's head off now. She let out an exasperated sigh and leaned back against Jasper. Please, please, let the questions stop already! "I'll answer any more questions later. If I don't get out of here right now and hunt, I'll probably rip off someone's head off. And I really don't want to do that," Alice muttered, annoyed.

THE DREAMER Another member of the family entered, and he was confused. Brittany stood up, then went towards her cousin Calvin, tearing out her paper and handing it to him. It had all the notes, and she was sure he would read it and pass it on to the rest of the family members who were not present. She also appreciated that Mitchell was filling her cousin Calvin in. "Here, Calvin." she said to him, her smile apprehensive. Her cousin Mitch left, going to his room, and with Alice wanting to leave, from her tone it was apparent that she wanted to go and hunt already, things were starting to slow down. Alice was feeling bombarded with everything that was happening--looking into the future, being asked questions she didn't really know the exact answer to, frustrated at not being able to answer them... Brttany used her powers and sent a mental picture of happiness to her mother, so that her nerves would be less frayed. She went towards the door, her silhouetted figure of a girl with her hair pinned up in an elegant style and dress. "Brad?" she called out to her brother, her hand outstretched towards him, indicating that they needed to leave now, that is, if he wanted to go with her. Brittzy knew Jasper would take care of Alice. They needed time alone together as a couple. If Brittany and Brad were needed, they would be informed.
