Alice put her uniform on while she looked at herself in the full-length mirror in her room. It still fit perfectly. Long-sleeved black shirt check. White and blue Cullen baseball vest, check. Black pants, check. White and black shoes, check. And, finally, baseball cap. Okay, she was ready! She hoped everyone else was ready, too.
"Jazz, are you ready?" Alice asked Jasper, who was changing into the bathroom. Alice headed out of the bedroom without a reply. She ran down the steps all the way to the ground floor at top speed. She was really excited there was a storm so they could play baseball. "Come on, people, the weather is not going to wait for us!" Alice yelled, loud enough for her family to hear her in the house.
Alice sat down on one of the couches in the living and waited for her family to be ready to go. She was really excited to be playing today. It seems like ages since they had played last. Now they have 7 more family members to play the game with now. Things could get rather interesting. Alice really hoped the boys didn't cheat in today's game,

“My beginning was something else entirely.” Jasper rolled his eyes as Alice called to him. Was he the only Cullen that changed like a human? He took his time, was that so wrong? Apparently so… He grabbed his white and navy top and quickly pulled it over his head, covering his scar covered chest. He grabbed his baseball cap and quickly placed it on his head, pushing any stray hair back. He checked the mirror then nodded and opened the door. Alice was gone, most likely downstairs. He chuckled softly at her impatience. He walked to the closet and pulled out a pair of navy jeans to wear. He discarded the black ones because he knew Alice would comment on how navy and black just did not go together. He was going to do everything possible to avoid another fashion lecture. He heard her yell and shook his head with another laugh.
Once finished he left the bedroom, taking his time to get downstairs. After all, it wasn’t like he was the slowest in the family. He listened and heard Alice in the living room and made his way toward her. He entered the living room and took a seat beside her on the couch with a slight smile. He was the first to join her, obviously he wasn’t that slow. He gently took the brim of her cap and straightened it on her head. “Calm down Alice, they’re coming. Be patient.” He told her, laying back on the couch, putting his hands behind his head. Really he was sure the rest would be along very fast. Emmett, Edward and Carlisle for sure. It seemed to be a family trait to love baseball. And it really seemed so long ago that they played.

But Sure as Hell Love Baseball! - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - After hearing the Yelling from Alice screaming "BASEBALL GAME" for the trillionth time. Emmett laughed softly hearing the news and ran into his closet area. Grabbing out his sweat pants with the red stripe going down the side, the matching jacket, and the white hat that went along with any baseball game. Emmett walked into the bathroom and changed. Kind of quickly, and making sure he got the t-shirt on before the jacket, and making sure that his hat was in the direction, he laughed. He looked at himself in the mirror and walked out of the bathroom.
He walked over to the bed, grabbing the shoes from underneth them. Pulling out his black shoes, he sighed softly and put them on his feet. Emmett tied them quickly and stood up. Rose, grab your clothes dear. Baseball time. He said with a huge grin on his face. He walked towards the door and looked over at Rose, See you down there. He added, then went out of the room. Walking to his left, he went down the flight of stairs. As usual, he heard voices. Jazz and Alice were sitting there all dressed up in their little outfits like he was.
Only ones down here at the moment? Emmett said walking into the room where the other two were at. He walked over to the chair and sat down. He looked around too, making sure that people werent hiding and afraid to come down in their outfits. Carlisle getting all the Bats and Baseballs? Emmett said looking over at Alice and Jazz, since they were the only people down here with him. He Rolled his hazel eyes and waited quietly with a huge grin on his face. See, their baseball went like this.. Well, not sure how to explain. But really, if they win, they win. Same goes for losing. Emmett looked back into the direction he first stared in. Come on people he muttered to himsef.

Alice smiled at Jasper as he joined her on the couch. She got up and sat down purposely on his stomach, so he couldn't get up. "Don't tell me to calm down. The storm isn't going to last for long and I know all of us want to have a chance to play. We have to leave within the next five minutes if we want to have a decent length game," Alice answered, from her perch on top of him. She really want to get going. It had been way too long since they had played ball.
Alice gave Emmett a grim smile as he entered the room then. "Yes, I think he's supposed to be getting them. Where did you guys put them after last game, anyways?" Alice questioned her brother. Geez, when something exciting was happening, the family was as slow as could be. Alice was almost bouncing up and down with excitement. She was very close to leaving the house without the rest of the family soon.

Take me out to the ball game Take me out to the crowd Buy me some peanuts and cracker jacks I don't care if we never get back Let me root, root, root for the home team If they don't win it's a shame 'Cause it's 1, 2, 3 Strikes you're out At the old ball game | |
Mitch heard the shouting about the baseball game and instantly he was excited. Baseball was like a tradition in the family, but they could only play when it was storming so that the noise of the storm covered up the noises of them playing. He rushed toward his closet and pulled out a black fleece shirt and black jeans, the closest he had to a baseball outfit. Grabbing the cap off the couch he stuck it on his head of untamed blond hair and rushed out the door. He walked down the hall, softly humming "Take Me Out To The Ball Game" in a cheery tone. He found others - His dad, Uncle Jasper, and Aunt Alice - waiting downstairs and practically flew down the stairs to join them. He reached them just as he neared the end of the song and he sang out, "'Cause it's one, two, three strikes you're out at the old ball game," as he reached them. "Dang," he said when he finished, "Was I a little over enthusiastic?"

“My beginning was something else entirely.” Jasper smiled at Emmett as his brother came down. He blinked as his response to Emmett was cut off when Alice sat on his stomach. He chuckled lightly and let her answer. He wrapped his arms around her stomach and held her close, letting his chin rest on her shoulder. “Breathe Alice… We’ll leave soon,” He said softly with a smirk. “And I do believe that Emmett put the bats away last time so he should know where they are,”
Jasper glanced up as he heard humming and blinked as Mitchell entered. He couldn’t remember the last time he’s seen Mitchell not staring off into space. He could feel the excitement he was feeling and smiled with a soft laugh. “One can never be over excited about baseball,” Jasper stated.

Alice leaned back against Jasper, as he wrapped his arms around her stomach and held her close, letting his chin rest on her shoulder. Alice turned her head and kissed him lightly on the cheek. She giggled as Mitchell came into the room singing "Take Me Out To The Ball Game". The children tended to get more excited than their parents at times.
Alice listened to the conversation going on between the three males. If Emmett had put the bats away and didn't tell Carlisle where he put them, it would take forever for them to get out of the house. The storm was going to last for a couple hours, and they couldn't play otherwise. "You boys getting overexcited means you wil cheat," Alice muttered, rolling her eyes, "Emmett, go help Carlisle with the bats and balls."

He was humming the baseball song. Just priceless, as always. Like Jazz said, Once it comes to baseball... Its hectic, but fun to enjoy. Emmett said looking at his son. Then Hearing about where he had places the bats and baseballs. Emmett rolled his eyes and looked over at the trio. in the closet as a matter of fact. They're up near the Office. Emmett said towards Alice and Jazz.
He sat his arms on his legs and smiled. No way. We get over-excited because its baseball for crying out loud! He said laughing. Emmett rolled his eyes and looked over at Mitchell and his excited face. Alice had somewhat ordered him to get the bats and balls. He looked over at her and nodded. Okay, I'll go get them. Carlisle wont have to move an Inch to that closet. All he has to do is come down here. I'll be back Emmet said getting up and going to the stairs.
He finally made it up to the closet and opened it. Grabbing the bats and baseballs, he closed the closet with his foot and made his way back down to the stairs. Emmett grumbled slightly as he couldnt find the railing. Oh well. He sighed softly and walked back down teh stairs. Making it finally down the stairs, he set them gently by the table. Em looked up at alice and gave a sarcastic smile. There you are. Emmett said sitting back down at his chair he was sitting at earlier.

Mitch grinned at the obvious acceptance and surprise at his enthusiasm. What can I expect? They expect me to be distracted by my thoughts. Baseball gets even me excited though. As his dad ran to get the bats and balls he turned to Aunt Alice. "You really don't think I'd cheat do you? I'm the honest one." Though, his honesty was in his words. He'd never proven he was honest in his actions. The only reason he was so honest in what he said was his habit of saying exactly what was on his mind at the very minute. He didn't tend to think about what he said at all. Sometimes the open honest was good though. His dad came back and sat down after setting down the balls and bats. Mitch found he was getting kinda restless and decided he should try sitting down so he didn't start pacing. The sitting was better. At least this way he only fidgeted with his hands while he waited. He wasn't sure where all the energy and enthusiasm was coming from really since he was a normally calm person. It was probably very amusing for everyone else to see him so out of character. I'm ready for the game. We don't do this much. I have a reason to be excited. That's right Mitch, just keep rationalizing it. It's still just as funny.

~Here I come to save the day, And while I’m at it, throw a HAND GRENADE… Brad had heard quite a bit of yelling, from the baseball, to the scoring. He grinned to himself, grabbing a pair of black jeans, a black shirt, and a white baseball jersey. He put them on, smirked again, and grabbed for his hat. He loved to play baseball with his family: it was almost as fun as football. But that was only played with Emmett, because he loved to tackle people. Brad rolled his eyes, stopping as he went to head downstairs to pause at his sister’s door.
“Hey, Brittz, there’s baseball. Mom’s been yelling about it. Hurry up, because I can’t wait to beat you!” he said happily, pushing the door open and then shooting down the stairs just in time for Mitchell’s comment. Mitch was totally honest when playing baseball… And in anything else, for that matter. It was Brad who wasn’t honest. Well, he never lied, exactly. He just avoided the truth constantly. “You know,” he said, slinging an arm over the railing, “We never cheat. We just bend the rules so that they work better.”
A grin covered his face as he watched Mitch pace. It was rather amusing for him to watch his cousin freak out. “You nervous, Mitch?” he asked, smirking. “It’s not like we’re going to lose…” he smiled at his mother, before continuing down the stairs and falling onto a chair beside his parents. “Where is everybody? I knocked on Brittie’s door, told her to hurry up. She should be on her way.” He smiled, leaned back and watched his cousin pace with a bemused grin. [[OOC: Sorry for the shortness… ]]

"Your father and your uncle Edward do cheat, Mitchell. You should have seen them back when Bella was human. Those two were crazy. Even Ésme told your father he cheats. It was good times. I pitched, you dad and Edward were in the field. Bella was the umpire, it was very interesting. Especially when Bella had to tell Rosalie she was out. Your mom was so pissed off. We all thought she would kill Bella on the spot!" Alice laughed at the memories of playing baseball while Bella was still human.
It had been fun. Bella had been surprised how they played. Sure, they all could be loud and overexcited...but, hey, they were vampires! It's not like they were teddy bear soft, either. That was sort of the reason Emmett had been nicknamed 'The Giant Teddy Bear'. She smiled at Brad as he came into the room. Good, he had told Brittany. She should be down soon then. They could just sit here and talk while they waited for the rest of the family to arrive downstairs.

Right. Mitch had forgotten that others tended to cheat when they could. He had to laugh at Brad's comment about bending the rules. Then there was the comment about his pacing, which was a very bad habit all the same but not out of nervousness. "Too much energy," Mitch said, "I couldn't sit still if I tried so I didn't figure I would." Oh yes, this was getting thoroughly amusing for everyone else. Calm and zoned out Mitchell was attentive and so excited he couldn't sit still. His out of character moments were few and far between so the others got their laughs in while they could.

~I know it’s no use, I’m screwing up every little thing I ever try to do, I’m born to lose. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah… Brad grinned at his cousin. He was quite excited himself for the baseball game – it was not very often that the family got together to go out and play. In fact, it was very few and far between. Sadly, though Forks was the rainiest place in the US, it tended to be light drizzle, steering away from the thunderstorms quite a bit. Brad tended to think of this as Mother Nature mocking them. He shook his head, and continued watching Mitch pace. “You’re going to wear a hole in the carpets, Mitch,” he teased, completely not serious.
It wasn’t often that Mitch got so excited. Brad almost wished that Mitch would be more insane, but he also figured that one family should only have a few loonies. With him, they had enough. Not many people in the large family were really that insane… They were just over excitable. Feeling slightly impatient, Brad grabbed a bat and began to swing it around gently. He soon abandoned that, and began to toss a ball in the air.
“Brittz, hurry up,” he said, looking at the stairs as if staring would make his sister appear. He sighed, unable to keep his attention focussed. He began to juggle the baseballs, with his hands and not his mind. He grinned as they picked up speed, and then decided that he’d be lazy. Juggling them with his mind, he sat back and watched the stairs for any signs of movement.

Alice watched Mitchell pace around the room. She vaguely listened to what he said. He was usually the quiet type, a lot like Jasper. Other times he could be really hyper. A baseball game lightened everyone's spirits today.
"Brad, please be careful. I don't want anything being broken before we go. I don't want Ésme upset at the game. We want everyone in a good mood for the game. I don't want any fighting unless it has to do with cheating," Alice stated, watching her son.
Alice closed her eyes for a few minutes, trying to listen for footsteps from the upper stories of the house. They had been talking about the game for days, maybe even weeks. What was taking them so long? She let out an exasperated sigh. She was really ready to go. She was going to tell Emmett she'd take the boys up to the field now to get set up for the game later on.
"Emmett, Jasper and I can take this lot up to the field now to get things set up. You can bring the girls, Rose, and Brittz up when they're ready. We'll just meet up there. We can have the bases and everything set up by the time everyone is ready. Come on, guys, pile in the back of my car. Let's go set up for the game," Alice answered, a small smile forming on her lips then and there.

“My beginning was something else entirely.” Jasper gently ran his fingers through Alice’s hair as he sat, waiting patiently for the rest of the players to show. He was excited about the game yes, but unlike the rest of the family he wasn’t bouncing off the walls in excitement. He somewhat listened to what the others were saying but wasn’t paying too much attention. He watched Emmett leave and leaned back against the couch, closing his eyes lightly.
He was remembering the games they’d played before. He hoped it would rain on them, it was much more fun to play in wet storms. Or at least that was his opinion. He didn’t mind mud and that helped slow down the faster family members. Even vampires could slip in the mud if they weren’t watching what they were doing. When they were focused solely on chasing a ball or running to a base meant they weren’t quite paying the attention they normally would.
His attention was zoned in as he watched Brad juggle the baseballs with his mind. Jasper watched with little interest. Brad had an interesting power to say the least, however Jasper was fond of his own. He found it useful.
